A psychological autopsy is a procedure that assists families who have had a loved one complete suicide. Through this very painful time, families are experiencing all stages of grief; shock and denial, pain and guilt, anger and bargaining, depression and uncertainty. Particularly in the event of a completed suicide, many questions arise which linger and remain unanswered. Through gentle, supportive questioning this service can help trace any behavioral patterns and concerns in your loved one's life, which ultimately caused them to make the decision they did. This can provide answers and comfort to people during this most difficult time. This service can also help for purposes of life insurance policies and other legal matters. Duration Varies · $150/hr. - self-pay only, as insurance will not count this as a form of therapy.  However, this is a short-term intervention, and you are welcome to continue therapy with me afterward if you desire to do so.
