Couples counseling, often referred to as marriage counseling or relationship counseling, provides a safe place for both participants within the relationship to explore their emotions , wants, and needs in an environment conducive to healthy communication. Sometimes communication can be difficult to achieve at home due to mismatched schedules, parental responsibilities, fear of your partner's reaction to something due to past negative experiences within the relationship, or frequently being unable to work through something without arguing or hurting feelings. If you are struggling with past betrayal, are struggling to feel a sense of connection, are struggling to agree on important life decisions, are struggling with sexual intimacy or performance, or just want to work on communication skills with a neutral third-party to offer feedback on areas of improvement, the therapist's role is to be an unbiased voice, and will treat each of you as equals.
45-50 minutes - $125 per session if paying out-of-pocket. For initial intake assessments the fee will be $150. Please note that prices are typically slightly increased at the beginning of each new year, and aforementioned prices may change if Lacey forgets to update the website!
Insurance rates will vary according to plan. Many insurances accepted!
Note: Often insurance companies will not pay for marriage therapy unless there is a very specific mental health diagnosis from one partner which is impacting your marriage; thus, things such as communication, infidelity, sexual incompatibility, and lifestyle incompatibility will likely not be covered under insurance. Please plan your finances accordingly.
